Get Your First Draft Done and Editor-Ready in 90 Days

even if you haven’t started yet and have very little motivation to put your butt in the chair and write after your work day is done.

Your soul's desire is to be a writer, and the only way that is going to happen is to start writing and start sharing your words and work with the world.

Who will you attract once you finally publish your book?

Your book is your invitation to bring in Committed clients, Prolific podcast hosts, TEDX and event producers that broadcast across the globe.

It’s going to be epic, but before that ...

you need to finish your shitty first draft.

Is ‘Author Awakening’ For You?

If you are someone who:

  • Wants to be a published author but has no idea how to get started

  • Has topics in mind for a book but has trouble focusing for long periods of time and can’t seem to find the time to write

  • Already has some of your book written but needs support in 'tying everything together'

  • Wants to establish yourself as an expert or thought leader in your field

  • Dreams of attracting high-quality clients

  • Sees your book as a guide to creating online training or courses

  • Dreams of being a best-selling author

  • Fantasizes about the stages you'll speak on, such as the TED stage and conferences around the world

... then Author Awakening was designed for you.

Perhaps this also sounds like you ...

You: Too many ideas in your head and this innate need to write them down.

You: “I want my book to be so profound and impactful and memorable that people not only talk about it and have thought-provoking discussion, but that it’s worthy enough to be adapted to a film for people to watch and delight in for eternity.”

Also you: Binging on ‘Fleabag’ Season 2 in bed with fuzzy socks on without blinking.

Others: “You write so well!”

Others: “Your writing is like candy, so fun to consume!”

Others: “Don’t stop writing!”

You:

The Blank Page

When you have so many ideas in your head and yet, the time that you do finally get to yourself, it doesn't go to you.

It goes to your partner, kids/dogs/boss and the other humans needing attention in your life …

And then suddenly you get a bout of inspiration and you do write …

it’s a great idea and you do it for a little while and then you stop again.

That’s what you do: Start. Stop and start with another idea.

It seems your ability to write coherent prose has been destroyed by a day writing trending international vaccine news articles.

It makes you feel like you’ll never finish it--that your dream to be a best-selling author is never going to happen because there is so much that you don’t know …

  • Who do I send a manuscript to?
  • How do I even find them?
  • Do I take a chance and email someone after finding editors or publishers on LinkedIn, or do I need a connection into the world?
  • Do I need to start a blog first or have publications as a guest writer on websites to be considered or recognized?
  • And how would I self-publish if I take that route …
  • And on that note, what path is right for me?

If you have those questions and you feel distracted -- even reading this page -- I feel you.

I really do. Because I’ve been there, too.

alison-tugwell

I had wanted to write a book ever since I was ten years old. But no one in my family wrote nor did any of my friends--without being forced to, that is. Writing was a way I would VERY PRIVATELY process my emotions.

In fact if anyone ever found my notebook, I would have been MORTIFIED … I imagined a portal opening up, much like on the show, ‘Stranger Things, and life would cease to exist as I knew it--right-side up and without demons wreaking havoc on my adolescence.

Writing became an on-again-off-again relationship for me. And it affected my confidence BIG TIME. When I stopped keeping promises to myself to develop this craft, it hurt the way I saw myself. I saw myself as flaky, someone that couldn’t commit to her creative projects and eventually I just stopped starting things because I couldn’t bear to leave another project unfinished.Maybe you can relate?

Until one day, I got fed up.. I gave myself 30 days to write my first draft using a system that thousands of writers have used to become Amazon #1 best-selling authors.

And I did it.

I wrote 1,000 words a day and in one month, I had a 30,000 word manuscript.

FINALLY I finished the book I had always wanted to write.

And you know what the craziest part was?

It wasn’t so bad. In fact, by incorporating meditation, self-study and gathering emotional data, I actually made it easy. AND FUN.

I developed the PROCESS you need to finish a book without being miserable, falling asleep on the keyboard and dropping thousands of hours trying to figure it out all by yourself.

This is a process that ANYONE can follow and find success, as long as they have a deep desire to make an impact with their words.

And I’m going to walk you through it step by step.

Wow. Thank you so much for this. I deeply appreciate how much heart and devotion you put into this course. I paid absolute pennies compared to the endless value this course brings! (If I had lots of $$$ I would gladly pay a million for this course and I wouldn’t feel it was overpaid.) I’m not only learning vital information & mindset hacks for writing my book but indirectly I’m learning a LOT about how to run a course in a way that truly serves people in an optimal way. You are ONE of a kind and I hope you know that I’m not saying it because I want to make you feel good, but because all that I just said -I believe is the truth!

I had some hesitation whether I would do it or not. [But] the goalpost of 30,000 words and breaking that down and it seems so obvious once you showed us, like ‘Yeah this is so doable.’
This has been a life-changing class for me!

Alison is truly an amazing life coach that held me accountable and helped me along my journey of publishing my book. With her encouragement and organized guidance I was able to reach my goals and make huge progress on my book. She was knowledgable about the steps and she was very interactive with me along the way. I highly recommend Alison if you need someone who is detail oriented, knows how to get the tasks completed, and is a highly motivated to see an end result! Best decision I could've made in this process. I'm so grateful she has been there every step of the way. I honestly don't think I would be this far in the process if it wasn't for Alison.
